Forum "Best social projects of Ukraine"
April 17, the "Ukrainian House" in Kyiv hosted the first forum "The best social projects of Ukraine." This year there were 43 participating organizations of different ownership. The Forum anonsuvalos the fall of 2013. National Award in the field of sustainable development and the draft National Declaration social responsibility.
Regulation event included a conference "New trends and prospects of social partnership in Ukraine" Open seminar: "The best CSR project: how to prepare and a round table on" Revival of Cultural Property in the Ukrainian society: problems and solutions. "
Business companies, government and NGOs shared their experiences implementations of social programs and discussed a range of issues related to performance, plans for further development and successful cooperation between government, business and society.
Particular attention was paid to the topic of business contribution to social development. Director of the interaction between business and society Rostislav Kurinko noted that compared to other countries, in Ukraine the concept of social responsibility underdeveloped, but in recent years the topic widely debated in the media. As a result - gathered around the theme of a critical mass of dialogue that needs constructivism: coordination and alignment mechanisms for success.
"Any activity, including social and environmental projects - should have a dual purpose. First, to promote social and sustainable development. And secondly - to be useful for the company-developer "- says Anna Danyluk, coordinator of Ukrainian network representation of the Global Compact in Ukraine. Miss Anna stresses that this can only be achieved by following the basic principles of the Global Compact, among them - anti corruption, environmental regulations, labor relations and human rights.
Visitors and members of the Forum had access to exhibition presents projects and support projects of national Declaration of social responsibility.
The document provides support for the introduction of modern practices and mutual responsibility in the triangle "government-business-society", as it is essential for Ukraine's European integration and support for raising the standards of social development, environmental protection and fundamental rights.
Conducting the National Award in the field of sustainable development is planned for the autumn of this year. Descriptions of projects accepted until May 31.
President of ICC Ukraine, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Shchelkunov , commenting on the event, said: " This is a very sensible and timely idea to create such a promising platform - Forum " Best Social Project Ukraine ", which every year national and multinational companies that operate in Ukraine will be able to share experiences , to present projects of social responsibility to respond to the needs of society. This is the place where frank and equal dialogue will conduct business, community and government to jointly solve the problems of the social sphere . "
As a reminder, the forum "most social projects of Ukraine" initiated Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian Marketing Association" (UAM) in collaboration with the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine), the European Business Association and Social Marketing "About two."
His social programs and projects representing government agencies, NGOs, companies such as: "DTEK», «Ernst & Young», MTS, «Intel», «Ukrsotsbank», «Platinum Bank», «DHL Express», «Yves Rocher», «SUN InBev "," AVK "," Tetra Pak "Foundation Margaret Vashchuk and many others.
Forum supported the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Kyiv City Administration.
Important steps of this large-scale project can be considered a declaration signed National CSR 39 organizations as well as the beginning of the task force of the Coordination Council for Civil Society Development under the President of Ukraine , which aims to develop a national strategy for social responsibility.
